Small cargo ferry discharges passengers and vehicles from the Niger River near Djenné.

Degenné, Mali, 2009 -A cargo ferry unloads passengers and vehicles returning from the market day in Djenné. Sandbars along the bank of the Niger River have prevented the ferry from getting closer to shore forcing the vehicles and passengers to make their way through shallow water to the beach.
